- Find Authentic Happiness By Aligning With What You Love
Happiness
is a feeling that comes from within when you are in alignment with what
you love. It is by aligning with what you love that you will feel an
authentic inner sense of happiness.
In today's world there are a lot of distractions
that
are competing for our attention. For example there are the TV shows,
advertisements, traffic, noise and the list goes on.
It is these external influences that take us away from our center and
our core where we feel a sense of inner peace and calm and feeling of
being happy within.

It is these
outer distractions that take you away from the inner joy that is our
natural birthrite.
So how do
we tap into the inner sense of authentic happiness?
Well
the first place is to go within. Personally I find a lot of people who
are looking for a sense of happiness try to find it on the outside. In
the things the world can give them.
However,
authentic happiness comes from within to discover the things that you
love. Then it is a matter of aligning with what you love in order to
bring a sense of this joy into your life.

The
deeper question then becomes 'How do I find what I love?'
Well,
the first step is to go within. It is your inner world that will show
you the path to true and lasting happiness.
The
way to go in is to firstly silence your mind and enter into a state the
Buddhists call no-mind. This state of no-mind opens the doorway to
accessing your inner world through your feelings.
So
once in a state of no-mind, simply scan through your body and notice
where there is any tension within your body. Then just like letting go
of a stone, allow the tension within your body to drop to the ground.
This will bring you into a space of both no-mind and inner
sense
of relaxation.
Once
you are in this state, you can then place your attention and awareness
on your heart center. This is located in the middle of your breast bone
and is about the size of a golf ball. The reason why we place our
attention and awareness on our heart center is because our heart always
leads us towards what we love.
When
your full awareness is on your heart center then you will most likely
feel a small pull. To me this feels like the small tug of a spider's
web on my heart center. I find it is best practised in nature because
you will be away from the distractions of daily life and allows you the
time and space to focus within.
However,
when you feel the pull on your heart center then just allow it to guide
you. For example if you are beside a stream then just allow the pull
within your heart to guide you to where you feel drawn, such as to sit
on a rock and watch the water flow or perhaps to stand beside a tree
overlooking the stream.
Doing
this in nature is largely symbolic of following the pull of your heart
in your daily life. For it is this pull within your heart that brings
you towards the things you love, which in turn brings an inner sense of
authentic happiness.
For
example, if you are in a supermarket and you don't know what to cook
for dinner
then you can check in with the pull within your heart center and allow
it to take you towards different things within the supermarket. It will
always lead you toward the foods that you love, sometimes even if you
don't know that you love them.
When
you are drawn to the things that you love, it is then a matter of
aligning with these things in order to bring a sense of inner joy into
your life.
For
example, I love being in the bush and this brings me an inner sense of
happiness and joy. However I used to live in a busy city and wasn't in
contact with nature as much as I'd like. It did take me a few years to
make the transition, however now I live in a place that is surrounded
by nature and this alignement with nature brings me an inner sense of
being authentically happy andcontent.
So
when you start to go with the pull within your heart and put energy
into what you love by aligning with it, you will naturally start to
feel an inner sense of happiness. It is not like you are pretending to
be happy, it is more an inner feeling of contentment and joy that you
are in alignment with what you love.
