Inspiration
- How To Tap Into Inspiration And Allow It To Guide Your Life Direction
Inspiration
comes from the universal life force that exists within all things.
Beyond our individual sense of self is a force that continually guides
and provides inspiration when we are tapped into it's presence.
This force is external to our sense of self and
dwells
and resides within all things. It is the same force that lets us know
when someone is about to call us on the telephone. It is the same force
that guides us to a place where we literally bump into a long lost
friend we have been thinking about. And it is the same force that
allows us to be aware of the continual synchronicities that are a part
of our life.
This guiding force is also the force that brings sudden flashes of
inspiration into our life.

- look for what you are inspired by in nature |
So the
question naturally becomes 'How do we tap into the force of
inspiration'?
Well
there are a number of ways to get in tune with the guiding force that
is constantly directing our life and inspiring the actions we take.
The
first way is to let go of our individual sense of self.
For
example, when we are constantly 'thinking' then a lot of attention
and awareness is placed on the thoughts that are going
through
our mind. I read somewhere that when we are 'thinking' then we are
using as much energy as we do when we are walking. And it is this
energy we give to our own thoughts that keep us locked into the
individual sense of self and not tapped into the guiding force.

| Inspiration
- tap into the universal energy to find direction |
The
reason for that is because we do not have any energy or attention left
over to tap into the inspiration that comes from 'source'. It is almost
like when you are absorbed in watching a movie on TV that you are
probably not aware of the sound of birds outside your window.
So
the first step is to consciously turn off our thoughts because this
will allow us a lot more energy and attention to what is external to
ourself and to be inspired by what is around us.
In
order to do
that we firstly need to become aware of the 'noise' within our
own
mind. So if you close your eyes you will be able to hear a little voice
within your mind. It may be saying 'Little voice? What little voice? I
don't have a little voice!'
Well...
THAT is the little voice.
And
as you start to become aware and conscious of the little voice within
your mind you will notice that it has a certain pace, a certain tempo
that it speaks at. You will also start to notice that it also has a
certain tone and pitch that it speaks at. Just start to become aware of
the nuances contained within the little voice in your own mind.
Once
you are aware of what it is saying, the next step is to then
consciously turn it
off so that you can instead listen to the words of inspiration coming
from 'source'.
In
order to do this, simply say to the voice within your
mind 'Thank you for sharing'.
As
you say 'Thank you for sharing' to the voice within your mind, you will
probably notice a gap and a pause within your thinking. This is what
the
Buddhists call 'no-mind'. And as you dwell in no-mind your attention
will almost suddenly shift outwards into the world around you.
For
this is where inspiration exists. The inspiration you are seeking is
directly in front of you.
For
example, you may suddenly become aware of a sunset right in front of
you that has been created by the force that moves in all things. And it
may almost suddenly inspire you to make your life a work of art.
Or
perhaps you may become aware of the strength of the ocean battering
against a cliff... and you suddenly become inspired to tap into your
inner
strength.
Or
maybe you see the beauty in a flower beside you and you're suddenly
inspired to incorporate beauty into your life.
When
you turn off the voice within your mind you then have more attention to
place on what is around you. And this is where you will find your
inspiration.
For
inspiration does not come from within your own mind. Inspiration comes
from the external force beyond your sense of self. Often through the
messages contained within nature which are created by the force that
moves within all things.
At
any moment in time it is entirely possible for you to again tap into
the inspiring messages that are constantly being given to you. It is
just a matter of turning off the constant chatter within your own mind
to get into a sense of no-mind.
Then it is just a matter of becoming
aware of your surroundings and the inspiration in the messages that are
constantly being given to you from 'source'.
